Immigration and the mobility of international talent are increasingly important for Finland's prosperity and competitiveness. There are already sectors in Finland where it is challenging to find skilled labour while our working population is ageing. To support future work, some companies have relied or will rely on international talent.

The International Recruitment Guide implements the national Talent Boost programme, coordinated by the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment.

Objectives of the programme
  1. Finland is an internationally attractive place to work, study, research and invest.
  2. Employers know how and want to recruit international talent.
  3. The expertise of international experts strengthens the internationalisation and renewal of Finnish companies and organisations.
