Entrepreneurs now have a chance to influence the development of Järvenpää city centre 'Developing city centre' -vision poll. The survey collects ideas on how Järvenpää city centre can be developed into a vibrant, attractive and sustainable environment for residents, entrepreneurs and visitors alike. The deadline for responses is Sunday 19.5.2024.

Järvenpää's city centre will grow upwards, densify and expand within a radius of about one kilometre, complementing the existing urban fabric over the next decade. Renewable infill development, i.e. demolition, renovation, additional construction or additional storey construction, will increase the population density of the city centre and improve the conditions for service industries and specialised trade. In addition to commercial services, public services and cultural activities will be concentrated in the future centre. Beach Park will also be developed with entrepreneurs in mind.

Järvenpää's ongoing 'Developing City Centre' planning package is revising Järvenpää's master plan and city centre sub-planning. The focus is particularly on the densifying station area. The planning will look at the development of the city centre through five different themes: urban landscape, climate-smart design, greening, business and culture, and mobility.
