The CTN OxyPro™ hyperbaric oxygen therapy device shown in the photo improves cellular metabolism and the ability of cells to cleanse and regenerate. The aim is to increase oxygen levels in the blood to repair tissues and restore normal body function. During the treatment, 50% more pure oxygen is inhaled as the air pressure rises to 53 kilopascals, equivalent to a depth of about 6 metres. The increased pressure in the cabin increases the amount of oxygen in the blood and accelerates the cells' ability to remove toxins and harmful substances.Photo by Kalle Särkkä.

In Järvenpää it is possible to relax in a "recovery paradise", officially called CTN Recovery Studio.. The Recovery Studio includes a variety of wellness equipment with a holistic effect on a person's mental and physical well-being. The Recovery Studio is the brainchild of wellness company Osteopathic Clinic. There are only a few operators in Finland with a similar range of equipment.

- Over the years, I've wanted to develop the activity, and in 2023, the activity expanded with the addition of a recovery studio. Last year provided the opportunity for such an investment," says the entrepreneur. Petteri Kytölä explains.

The equipment was purchased from a domestic manufacturer in Vantaa. Cryotech Nordic and have cost the company around EUR 150 000.

Raising awareness

Kytölä admits that there is still work to be done in promoting the studio.

- Now, in the last year and a half, you can say you've only really felt like an entrepreneur when you've made this kind of investment and marketed your services, including social media, in a big way," Kytölä laughs.

According to Kytölä, recovery treatments and their benefits are still relatively unknown to ordinary people, but top athletes, for example, have been using recovery treatments for a long time. The company also guides people who use massage or osteopathy to recovery treatments. Kytölä stresses that the equipment is safe and suitable for everyone.

Last autumn, the osteopathic clinic sent out offers to local entrepreneurs and their businesses to visit a state-of-the-art cryotherapy facility. In the future, it plans to attract businesses and their staff to the studio for recovery.

In addition to osteopathy and massage, the company's services also include X°CRYO localised topical cryotherapy, designed to be used for localised topical cryotherapy of the skin, joints and muscles throughout the body. It is particularly suitable for increasing mobility and reducing inflammation and swelling in areas such as knees, ankles, wrists and elbows.

When Kytölä says that the company helps everyone, it means it. Osteopathic clinic also treats small babies.

- In babies, osteopathy can be used to treat colic or tongue-tendon problems. Childbirth can be a traumatic experience for the baby, and the osteopath looks at the situation from a functional point of view to improve it," says Kytölä.

Like infrared light, the light treatment penetrates the skin and continues its journey to the mitochondria, the energy metabolism of cells. Their job is to produce energy from the body's nutrients and oxygen.By activating and enhancing energy metabolism, red light has numerous health benefits and has been scientifically proven to help with recovery from sporting activities and performance enhancement, among other things.
