Spesia Vocational College has once again awarded its best working life partners of the year. This year, the Best of 2023 awards were presented in five different categories, one of which was chosen by the student body and four awards were presented on the basis of nominations and criteria from Spesia staff.
The award is intended to thank companies and representatives of working life for their excellent cooperation and involvement in creating career paths for students with special needs.
K-Citymarket Järvenpää is the best employer of 2023 for specialty retailers
K-Citymarket Järvenpää was this year's winner of the Best Employer of the Year award. The reason for the recognition was that this is a long-standing partner that has employed students who have graduated from Spesia and also offers summer jobs to our students.
The award was accepted by Markku Hautala, a diploma trader, who was delighted with the recognition. Mr Hautala and his team have been working with Spesia Vocational College for a long time and they find the cooperation rewarding and meaningful. The satisfaction on both sides is based on the fact that the activities are developed together.
The other Best of the Year awards were distributed as follows: the Best Working Life Partner of the Year is Lounatuulet Community House Association from Turku, the Best Workplace Supervisor of the Year is Satu Ahtiainen from the Suur-Savon ABC! Pieksämäki traffic station, Satu Satu Savon from Suusa Suusa Satu Savon from Pieksämäki, the Best Apprenticeship Workplace of the Year is Mainiokoti Kaunisharju from Vaajakoski and the Workplace of the Year chosen by the student union is the New Yorker store in Mylly Shopping Centre in Raisio.
