The Järvenpääpuhe podcast explores what kind of business town Järvenpää is and what makes the town even more thriving for business and industry.
Discussing the topic will be Marko Lehenberg, Director of Vitality, Business Services Manager Susanna Aramo and Pekka Bollström, Managing Director of the metal company Jarparo Oy. Ari Minadis, the city's communications expert, will act as moderator.
Järvenpää currently has around 3000 businesses. What kind of things should be fostered in the work between the city and entrepreneurs?
- Interaction must be as smooth and sustained as possible. It would be good if there was always someone there to receive you personally. In addition, cooperation between businesses and public services is a valuable factor in promoting and increasing the vitality of the city," says Lehenberg.
Aramo, Head of Business Service, describes the city as a platform, an information broker and a connecting network.
- We hope that companies will have a very low threshold for contact with us, as we strive to do. Support for entrepreneurship is available not only from the city but also from the Centre for Development in Central Uusimaa, Keuke.
Jarparo's CEO Bollström explains how he sees Järvenpää as a place to try and network.
- Järvenpää is a good location, but it is important to promote access to labour for heavy industry. In the last 10-20 years, there has been a lack of training in the sector because there have been no jobs available. Now that there are jobs in the sector again, the training places have not had time to respond as quickly to the need for labour by training new workers.
The podcast also answers questions about what improves the conditions for businesses to operate, how to attract more businesses to the city, what kind of location opportunities the city has for entrepreneurs of different sizes and types, what the future city strategy and business plan will mean for the future vitality of Järvenpää, and what kind of networking opportunities the city has for businesses.
