The city of Järvenpää ranked ninth in the Growth Potential Analysis of municipalities. The Business Dynamics as a Vitality Factor for Municipalities study examined the vitality, business dynamics and growth potential of municipalities in Mainland Finland (295) from the perspective of various indicators. Espoo took the top spot.
Järvenpää's good ranking did not come as a surprise, as the city has in recent years invested in positive growth factors, invested in the operating environment and created the conditions for a more vibrant city. From a growth and vitality perspective, the key factors are the employment and business dynamics of the region, demographic trends, the attractiveness of the area, the operating environment and the wider general climate.
The location of the region is also a key driver of growth. Järvenpää's excellent location and good transport links have attracted a number of large players to the city. A good example of this is Lidl's decision to locate its new distribution centre in Järvenpää's Boogie business park. In addition to new key companies, Järvenpää's attractiveness is also reflected in the strong population growth in recent years.
In addition to positive growth conditions, the city's key projects and dynamic urban development will ensure that Järvenpää will continue to develop favourably in the future. The City will contribute to ensuring that Järvenpää is an attractive partner, offering a skilled workforce, diverse growth opportunities and a vibrant and innovative business environment.
