The Lepola residential area will be completed as the large-scale regional development project Lepola IV in Southern Järvenpää moves forward. On 15 June, Järvenpää City Council approved the status plan for Lepola IV and the status plan entered into force on 12 August. The exceptionally fast progress of the project is reflected in the fact that the urban design statement for the first block was discussed by the Urban Development Committee the very next day, 13 August.

The Lepola IV area will become an oasis for working families with children, especially in the Helsinki Metropolitan Area, where everyday life is smooth and safe. The area will offer high quality and sustainable urban living close to good transport connections.

Apartment blocks will be built along the railway line and lower-rise residential buildings to the west. The area will contain around 600 apartments and 1500 inhabitants. There will also be 18 detached houses. The tender for the plots is open from 17 August to 14 September.

-The area as a whole and the plots of land put up for tender have attracted widespread interest. The development of Southern Järvenpää is one of the city's key priorities. After Lepola, the development of the Ainola regional centre east of the railway line will start and partners will be sought already this autumn," says Salla Niemelä, project manager for the project.
