The City of Järvenpää and Järvenpää Entrepreneurs Association cooperate to organise After Work events for local companies a few times a year. The last After Work in 2019 brought together around 50 actors on Friday 25.10. at Eikan Pub. The events are always attended by representatives of Keuke, the Central Uusimaa Development Centre, and Keuda College.

The aim of After Work is to network, meet people you know and make new acquaintances, and find new potential partners and opportunities for cooperation between entrepreneurs, the city and various stakeholders.

The last After Work evening of the year will be hosted by Lidl distribution centre. Lidl's hosts gave a warm welcome to everyone present. Lidl Distribution Centre has been operating in Järvenpää for a year now and is the third largest private sector employer in the town with around 300 employees. Located in the Boogie business park, in the immediate vicinity of the Lahti motorway, the distribution centre covers an area of 62 000 sqm. An additional 12 000 m2 of space is currently under construction, bringing the total to 74 000 m2. However, the expansion will not affect the number of employees, but will provide the additional capacity needed to run the business, say Valtteri Suonperä, Lidl's Logistics Manager , Tuukka Kärkkäinen , Head of Administration, and Mikko Juvonen, Human Resources Coordinator.
