Vaikuttamo is a service provided by the City of Järvenpää, offering personal career counselling and coaching for individuals. In addition to client work, Vaikuttamo works in extensive cooperation with local employers, secondary schools and secondary education institutions to promote employment.
The incubator, a meeting place for job seekers - and job providers
Vaikuttamo is an age-neutral career coaching service provided by the City of Järvenpää, which meets job seekers in Järvenpää from all backgrounds, regardless of status. Clients include people who are finishing their studies, people with long work experience, people considering a change of field and people who are unemployed.
Individual coaching takes a holistic look at the jobseeker's skills and interests, as well as the different options available. The combination of individual coaching and employer cooperation enables, at best, a low-threshold encounter between the jobseeker and the employer.
We also provide consultation and personal advice to jobseekers and employers on apprenticeships, work experience and wage subsidies.

The Employer Meetings organised by Vaikuttamo give employers the opportunity to look for a wide range of talent in their own field. The aim of the event, which is relaxed and flexible according to needs, is to bring together companies and jobseekers in a quick-date format. Vaikuttamo provides centrally located facilities and handles the marketing of the event on behalf of the employer. All you need to do is show up at a mutually agreed time and be ready to interview potential job seekers. Previous events have attracted anywhere from a few dozen to a hundred people.

The living professional library as a future maker
The Living Vocational Library is an event for all 8th graders in Järvenpää, where representatives of different professions tell young people about their work and the training paths leading to different professions. It is an excellent way to raise young people's awareness of different professions, training options and working life before they start their job search.
In the vocational library, young people can find ideas for their own careers, strengthen their understanding of the professions that interest them and compare their own skills and strengths with the skills required for work.
For the employer, participation enables the visibility of their company and makes it more attractive to young people.
